Missing Hearts is modern, highly visual card magic at its finest. Designed by NUSA and produced by MS Magic, this routine allows you to manipulate the ink and symbols on a playing card in the most impossible way imaginable. It is a multi-phase powerhouse that relies on clever mechanics rather than difficult knuckle-busting sleights.
The Routine
You place a 10 of Hearts face down on the table as a prediction and introduce a standard 3 of Hearts. One by one, the three heart pips are visibly peeled away from the 3 of Hearts. As each heart is removed, it completely vanishes from the card, leaving behind glaring, empty white spaces where the printed pips once existed.
The removed hearts invisibly travel across the table to your prediction. When the face-down card is turned over, the audience discovers that the 10 of Hearts has transformed into an impossible 13 of Hearts, with the three missing pips now permanently added to the face!
To finish, you pluck the three extra hearts off the 13 of Hearts and place them right back onto the blank spaces of the 3 of Hearts. Instantly, the 3 of Hearts is fully restored to normal, and the 13 of Hearts reverts back to a standard 10 of Hearts—leaving the spectators completely clean and bewildered.
