You Can t Get it Wrong – No Electronics

In front of you there are three wooden bases, one of which has a hole in its center. Show a large sharp nail, and put it with its point upwards into the hole in the base. You then cover the bases with paper cups, and turn around. A spectator mixes the cups around. When you turn around, with the help of your “magical” instinct you squash flat two of the three cups with the palm of your hand. Naturally you are not harmed, and under the third cup there is the sharp nail.

• The apparatus is made with care, is safe, and does NOT rely on electronics.

• The nail is 9cm (3,5”) tall with a diameter of 0,6cm (0,2”). The wooden bases measure 9cm (3,5”) on each side and are 2cm (0,8”) thick.
